Reynolds and Reynolds has been providing services and solutions to the automotive industry since 1927. And since 1927, we have been fortunate enough to watch the automotive industry evolve, both on the road and in films. So with Christmas around the corner, we thought it would be fun to connect the automotive world with the holiday season. We gathered a list of cars featured in some of our favorite holiday movies.

1. 1919 Dodge from It’s a Wonderful Life

When George Bailey believes the world would be better off without him, his guardian angel is sent to show him how truly valuable he is. This story is about the importance of family, friends, hard work, and giving to others — sounds similar to Reynolds’ values. George drives the iconic car throughout the movie. It is now owned by fans of the film who display it at different events.

2. 1938 Oldsmobile Touring Sedan from A Christmas Story

Adult Ralphie looks back on his childhood where all he wanted for Christmas was a model air rifle. Featured in this movie is his “Old Man’s” beloved car that causes trouble with a flat tire in one scene. The car is currently on display in Cleveland, Ohio, at A Christmas Story House and Museum.

3. 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe Wagon from White Christmas

This Christmas movie follows the talented singing acts of two sisters and two best friends as they fall in love and seek fame. However, an encounter with an old friend causes them to change their plans and honor those who have made an impact. It’s about love, friendship, and honoring those who have served our country — something Reynolds strives to do, as well. The car, with its wooden trim unique to the model, appears briefly when the couples arrive at the ski lodge.

4. 1988 Lincoln Limousine in Die Hard

Though it is often debated whether or not this movie is in fact a “Christmas movie,” it is still most certainly a highly viewed, classic film. The car is shown in a few scenes throughout the movie. Fun fact: The limo was actually owned by the star of the movie — Bruce Willis.

5. 1989 Ford Taurus Wagon from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

Chevy Chase stars in this comedy as Clark Griswold, whose Christmas plans don’t always seem to go the way he envisions them. The way the family vehicle is able to carry a giant Christmas tree and perform some impressive stunts makes it practically unforgettable. The unique wooden paneling on the sides of the Ford Taurus Wagon was also custom made for the film.
