A Pandemic Year In Review: Reynolds Continues to Grow
In March 2020, when the world seemed to flip upside down, Reynolds continued to move forward. Hiring and associate activities were not put on hold as they were in many places. By emphasizing company growth and community building, Reynolds made the most out of the circumstances.
Talent acquisition is something Reynolds is always interested in. Since last March, over 750 new associates have been hired. The recruiting team has worked hard to keep events happening, even if virtual, to draw in top-tier candidates.
Virtual college recruiting was a new concept for both Reynolds and college students, and it turned out to be successful. Events were taken virtual to give current students the same opportunities that students in previous years had. These included virtual mock interviews, sales competitions, career fairs, and class visits with departments such as Naked Lime Marketing, Sales, Accounting, and Business Analysts. We wanted to show students that we care about them and their success during these tough times.
It was taken to the next level with opportunities tailored to individual groups of students. Current University of Dayton and Wittenberg sales students saw engage studio demos, Wright State University Beta Alpha Psi members attended a virtual presentation on team work, and University of Dayton College of Arts and Sciences students attended a virtual career camp put on by Reynolds.
In addition to all of the events held during the school year, we also welcomed interns during the summer of 2020. Many of these were remote positions with virtual orientation, team building activities, and even a workout competition. We worked to keep the engagement level as high as previous years so our interns would get the full Reynolds experience.
We do not know what the future holds but we know we will be ready for anything. That’s the Reynolds experience!
