This post comes from Jordan C., who interned in the marketing department at Reynolds. She now continues to work at Reynolds part-time while attending Wright State University.

This past summer I had an amazing opportunity to work as a marketing intern at Reynolds and Reynolds. The experience was nerve-racking, intimidating, and difficult, but overall more beneficial than I ever could have imagined.

Reynolds treats its interns like it treats its full-time associates. Interns are given real, meaningful work and projects to complete over the course of their internship. They have opportunities to learn from their co-workers and supervisors, sit in on important meetings, take courses to learn about the automotive industry, and so much more.

My previous internship experiences at other companies consisted of busy work like making copies, filing, and getting people coffee. During my Reynolds internship, not only was I given my own personal objectives and projects to complete, but I was able to work with other associates on my team to complete collateral and full marketing campaigns. This opportunity made me feel important and needed. It really made my Reynolds internship stand out from past experiences.

One of the perks of being an intern at Reynolds is interns have opportunities to participate in events hosted by the recruiting department. These events include networking lunches, business workshops, and after work events. Some of the events I attended included a business etiquette luncheon, a minor league baseball game, and different presentations from Vice Presidents of the company. These events were some of the most beneficial experiences from my internship. I was able to obtain knowledge about professionalism and corporate America that I can use in my future career.

Aside from the overall experience, I learned I love marketing and it is the right field for me. A lot of college students still second guess the fields they’ve chosen, or don’t know exactly what they want to do. An internship that can confirm you’re in the right place is a necessity.

I also learned how to be a better marketer, and I was able to advance my skills tremendously. When I returned to school after my internship, all of my classes and projects were easier. I give a lot of credit for that to my internship experience.

My Reynolds internship was one of the best experiences of my life. The company has so much to offer students and graduates looking for careers. Reynolds can unlock almost anyone’s potential and turn them into a great associate. I would recommend an internship or a career at Reynolds and Reynolds to anyone.
