This post comes from Matt G., a Reynolds associate and farmerā€™s market connoisseur.

Looking for something to do in Dayton on the weekends, but itā€™s too early to visit the local craft brewery since you are trying out the whole ā€œadultingā€ thing? Look no further than your local farmerā€™s market.

These days, farmerā€™s markets are popping up in virtually every community, making them hard to miss. Some are even open year-round.

Visiting a farmerā€™s market allows you to see your community in action and support small businesses by buying local. Itā€™s also a great way to save money and buy fresh produce, baked goods, homemade recipes (think salsas or jams), and desserts. Youā€™ll also likely be able to buy arts and crafts, flowers, or even treats for your pet! If you get lucky, you may be able to catch some delicious cuisine from a food truck hanging around as well.

The next time you are looking for something to do, check out your local farmerā€™s market, often in large parking lots or parks. Youā€™ll find new friends and a sense of community as you experience the outdoors and support local vendors. Who knows what inspiration youā€™ll discover!
