6 Reasons to Go Corporate
We all have images in our heads of what Corporate America looks like. It’s usually someone in a suit who works in a tall building. But what if I told you Corporate America can look like this?
Corporate America has many faces, and as you can see, many smiles. It’s not hard to see why.
Big corporations like Reynolds and Reynolds have the funds to invest in their employees and their communities. They can provide experiences employees would probably never have while working for a smaller business. Traveling, training, and top of the line healthcare/benefits are just a few of the things you can have access to while working for a corporation.
If you’re looking for more reasons to go corporate, you’ve come to the right place:
- More Room for Activities
Working for a corporation typically provides more opportunities for fun outside of work hours. There may be intramural teams to join and sports fields located outside the building. There are also usually volunteer events to give back to the community.
- Work Perks
Large companies typically invest in their employees’ environment. For example, at Reynolds, all of our locations have a health center and cafeteria on site. There are opportunities to be involved in a gym either on our campus, or at a local facility. We also can’t forget the convenience store that’s available for an afternoon snack.
- A Variety of People
Corporations tend to have a variety of personality types. If you are new and don’t know anybody at your workplace, you can rest assured there is probably someone in your building with similar interests or hobbies.
- Opportunities to Advance
Many corporations strive to hire from within. What does that mean? Your managers will probably have worked their way up through the ranks. They will know the company from the inside out. In due time, you may be able to achieve a promotion, instead of being passed over for someone from outside the company.
- Celebrations/ Events
Large businesses have typically been around for a long time, and they love to celebrate it. On company anniversaries there may be large gatherings and office parties. Large corporations also have team outings and department celebrations to keep employees connected.
- Company Stability
Working for a company that has been around for a long time means many things, but arguably, the most important is job stability. With student loans, car payments, bills, and other financial obligations, you want to be a part of something that has stood the test of time. You can’t put a price tag on peace of mind.
