Keeping It Fresh
This post comes from Matt G., a Reynolds associate and farmer’s market connoisseur.
Looking for something to do in Dayton on the weekends, but it’s too early to visit the local craft brewery since you are trying out the whole “adulting” thing? Look no further than your local farmer’s market.
These days, farmer’s markets are popping up in virtually every community, making them hard to miss. Some are even open year-round.
Visiting a farmer’s market allows you to see your community in action and support small businesses by buying local. It’s also a great way to save money and buy fresh produce, baked goods, homemade recipes (think salsas or jams), and desserts. You’ll also likely be able to buy arts and crafts, flowers, or even treats for your pet! If you get lucky, you may be able to catch some delicious cuisine from a food truck hanging around as well.
The next time you are looking for something to do, check out your local farmer’s market, often in large parking lots or parks. You’ll find new friends and a sense of community as you experience the outdoors and support local vendors. Who knows what inspiration you’ll discover!
