My Reynolds and Reynolds Success Story: Jordan S.
This is a guest post from Jordan S., a Reynolds associate. He describes his leap-of-faith decision to leave his old job and pursue a career with Reynolds.
Before I had ever heard of Reynolds and Reynolds, I was a government employee with great benefits and decent pay. My career prospects looked pretty good, at least on paper.
But, I knew something was missing.
Simply put, I didn’t feel a real sense of passion for where I was and what I was doing, and it really bothered me.
I decided to take a leap of faith: I left my job without anything else lined up. If you’ve ever done this or considered doing this, I can say that letting go of that sense of security and having nothing concrete to fall back on can be both frightening and liberating.
Turns out, it was the best career decision I ever made.
Continuous prayers were answered. Reynolds had a tax analyst position open up, which matched my interests and skills, and I landed the job. I couldn’t ask for a better work environment than here at Reynolds. That sense of fulfillment I was missing in my previous position is being fulfilled here at Reynolds daily–and then some!
As far as the source of my success at Reynolds, it’s easy to identify: working with a great team, having great leadership, and being in an uplifting environment and culture. Work is definitely easier when you find something you’re passionate about and enjoy doing. Having a great working environment to go with it is icing on the cake.
Reynolds showed me that the sky truly is the limit. My experience here has made me excited to see what the future holds.
